Mr. Groome was admitted to the N. C. Bar in 1965 following his graduation from law school at UNC-Chapel Hill and duke University. In 2012 he was slected by the N.C. Bar Association as a member of the N. C. General Practice Hall of Fame. He retired from active law practice in June, 2013.
